  • How to Tastefully Navigate Your Wedding Guest B-List

As a team of wedding experts, we understand the importance of creating a memorable and enjoyable experience for all guests. However, the task of creating a guest list can often be overwhelming and stressful, especially when it comes to deciding who should make the A-list and who should be added to the B-list. In this comprehensive guide, we'll walk you through the do's and don'ts of creating a B-list, and share tips on how to make all of your guests feel included and valued. What is a B-list? A B-list is a secondary list of guests that are invited to the wedding if there is enough space or if someone from the A-list declines their invitation. While creating a B-list is a common practice, it's important to handle the situation with care to avoid hurt feelings or misunderstandings. Dos and Don'ts of creating a B-list Do: Consider your budget and venue capacity Before creating your B-list, it's important to determine your budget and venue capacity. This will help you to determine how many guests you can realistically invite to your wedding, and will make the decision-making process much easier. Do: Wait until you receive RSVPs from your A-list guests It's important to wait until you receive RSVPs from your A-list guests before sending out invitations to your B-list. This will ensure that you have an accurate count of how many guests will be attending your wedding, and will avoid any confusion or awkwardness if someone from the A-list declines their invitation. Do: Send invitations early If you plan on inviting guests from your B-list, it's important to send out invitations as soon as possible. This will give your guests plenty of time to make travel arrangements and adjust their schedules if necessary. Don't: Make your guests feel like an afterthought It's important to approach your B-list with sensitivity and care. Make sure that your guests don't feel like an afterthought or second choice, and ensure that they feel just as valued and appreciated as your A-list guests. Don't: Invite guests who are unlikely to attend It's important to be realistic when creating your B-list. Inviting guests who are unlikely to attend can be a waste of time and resources, and can also be hurtful to those who feel like they are being used as a backup plan. How to make all guests feel included One way to make all of your guests feel included and valued is to create a personalized experience for each and every guest. This can include personalized place cards, welcome gifts, and special activities or events throughout the wedding weekend. Another way to make all guests feel included is to create a seating chart that encourages guests to mingle and get to know one another. By strategically placing guests who have similar interests or backgrounds together, you can create an atmosphere of warmth and inclusivity that will make all of your guests feel at home. Conclusion Creating a B-list can be a difficult and stressful process, but with the right approach and mindset, it can be a way to ensure that all of your loved ones are able to share in your special day. By following these do's and don'ts, and focusing on inclusivity and personalization, you can create a wedding experience that is unforgettable for all of your guests. • Why Adding a Wedding Film to Your Photo Collection is Essential

At Jacob Malone Photography, we believe that a wedding film is an essential part of capturing your special day. While photos are a wonderful way to preserve memories, a wedding film captures the emotions, sounds, and movement that photos simply cannot. In this article, we will explain why you should consider adding a wedding film to your photo collection. Capture the Emotions of Your Day A wedding film is a moving, dynamic account of your wedding day that brings your memories to life. A film captures the emotions and expressions of the day in a way that still images cannot. As you watch the film, you'll be transported back to that special day and be able to relive it all over again. Preserve the Sounds of Your Day In addition to capturing the emotions of the day, a wedding film also preserves the sounds of the day. From the exchange of vows to the music played during the reception, a wedding film ensures that all the important sounds of your day are preserved for posterity. Experience the Movement of Your Day Another advantage of a wedding film is that it captures the movement of your day. From the first dance to the cutting of the cake, a wedding film captures the motion of the day in a way that still images cannot. • Why Hiring a Cheap Photographer is Not Always the Best Idea

When it comes to capturing special moments in our lives, such as weddings, family portraits, and other significant events, hiring a professional photographer is essential. However, many people often choose to go with a cheap photographer to save money. In this article, we will discuss why hiring a cheap photographer may not always be the best idea. Introduction Photography is an art, and it takes years of practice and skill to master. Hiring a professional photographer may cost you more than hiring a cheap one, but it is worth the investment. A professional photographer has the experience, knowledge, and equipment to capture your special moments in the best possible way. Quality of Work Cheap photographers may offer their services at a lower price, but the quality of their work may not be up to par. The photos may be blurry, out of focus, or poorly lit. A professional photographer, on the other hand, has the expertise and knowledge to take high-quality photographs that are well composed and visually appealing. Equipment and Technology A professional photographer invests in high-quality equipment and the latest technology to ensure that their work is of the highest standard. They use top-of-the-line cameras, lenses, lighting, and editing software to produce high-quality images. Cheap photographers, on the other hand, may use subpar equipment and outdated technology, which can result in low-quality images. Experience and Expertise A professional photographer has the experience and expertise to handle different types of photography, from portraits to landscapes, weddings to corporate events. They know how to work with different lighting situations, poses, and backgrounds to capture the best shots. Cheap photographers may not have the necessary experience and may not know how to work in different settings. Customer Service Professional photographers provide excellent customer service, from initial consultation to final delivery of the photographs. They work closely with their clients to understand their needs and preferences, and they are always available to answer any questions or concerns. Cheap photographers may not offer the same level of customer service and may not be as responsive to their clients' needs. Value for Money While hiring a professional photographer may cost more than hiring a cheap one, it is important to consider the value for money. A professional photographer will provide high-quality photographs that you will cherish for years to come. On the other hand, a cheap photographer may provide low-quality images that you will regret paying for. Conclusion Hiring a cheap photographer may seem like a good idea to save money, but it may end up costing you more in the long run. A professional photographer has the experience, expertise, equipment, and technology to capture your special moments in the best possible way. By investing in a professional photographer, you are investing in high-quality photographs that you will cherish for years to come. • The Distinction Between a Professional Wedding Photographer and a Portrait Photographer

At Jacob Malone Photography, we understand that finding the right photographer for your wedding or portrait can be a daunting task. With so many options available, it can be difficult to know where to start. That's why we're here to help you understand the differences between a professional wedding photographer and a portrait photographer. Professional Wedding Photographers: Wedding photography requires a unique set of skills. Professional wedding photographers have the ability to capture candid moments, create stunning compositions, and work with natural lighting. They are also skilled at posing individuals and groups to create beautiful, memorable images that will last a lifetime. At Jacob Malone Photography, we believe that the key to successful wedding photography is to build a relationship with our clients. We take the time to understand your vision and work with you to create the perfect shots. We take the time to get to know our clients, their personalities, and their style, to create images that truly showcase who they are. Whether it's a family portrait, senior portrait, or headshot, we work with our clients to create images that they will cherish for a lifetime. The Differences: While both wedding and portrait photographers require technical skill and an eye for composition, there are some key differences between the two. Wedding photography requires the ability to capture candid moments, work with natural lighting, and create stunning compositions on the fly. Portrait photography, on the other hand, requires the ability to work with the subject to create a specific image that captures their essence. Another key difference between the two is the length of time for the shoot. Wedding photographers typically work for several hours, capturing moments throughout the day. Portrait photographers, on the other hand, typically work in shorter sessions, with a focus on capturing a specific image or set of images. Conclusion: AtJacob Malone Photography, we believe that both wedding and portrait photography require a unique set of skills. Designed to bring people together in a spacious, welcoming environment, the taproom features long communal tables and our entire 10-barrel brewhouse exposed within the gathering area. Portions of our building date back more than 75 years, and we've preserved architectural signs of decades past in our space. But that's just the beginning. We've also completed our taproom with an expansive, dog-friendly patio facing historic Garden Street. Back in 1764, when Garden Street was the northern border of Pensacola's small downtown core, any resident who purchased land was given a companion parcel to use for a garden. To this day, the boundary lines of Perfect Plain's space fit the original "Garden lot" dimensions. It's a fascinating piece of history that we're proud to preserve and share with our guests. Directly behind Perfect Plain Brewing Co. is Garden & Grain, our new cocktail garden and private event space. Our grounds were once mapped by British officer Elias Durnford in 1742 to serve as a place for a Pensacola family to plant its garden. Today, Garden & Grain features a lush and expansive city garden, which is home to an outdoor bar featuring a meticulously curated and completely handcrafted cocktail menu. In addition, the Grainhouse, our former horse stable and feed and seed warehouse, has been transformed into a sleek and vibrant private event space that can host up to 125 guests. Inspired by the history of our parcel, Garden & Grain is an immersive garden sanctum among the city hustle and bustle. Last but not least, we're excited to introduce you to The Well. This 3600 square foot building nestled next door to Perfect Plain Brewing Co.'s taproom is our place to share the creations of our passions with you. It's a place to delve into time-honored traditions, push boundaries in fermentation, explore new frontiers with spirits, and push forward the boundaries of flavor. In short, if you're looking for the best of downtown Pensacola, you'll find it at Perfect Plain Brewing Co., Garden & Grain, and The Well. We're committed to creating unforgettable experiences for every guest who walks through our doors, and we can't wait to share our passion for beer, cocktails, and flavor with you.
